Divorce Financial Disclosure Checklist

Tick each item as you collect it. Use the print button to keep a copy.

Income

• Your last three payslips, and your latest P60
• Tax returns and tax calculations (SA302) for the last two or three years, if self-employed
• Business accounts for the last two or three years, if you run a business
• Evidence of benefits, rental income, dividends or other income

Bank accounts and savings

• Statements for the last 12 months for every account, including joint accounts
• ISAs, premium bonds, savings accounts and investments
• Shares, share options, and any cryptocurrency

Property

• Latest mortgage statement for each property
• Recent estate agent valuations (often three)
• Details of any other property, here or abroad

Pensions

• The latest statement for every pension, including old workplace pensions
• Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV) for each pension, which we can help you request
• Your State Pension forecast

Debts and outgoings

• Credit cards, loans, overdrafts and car finance
• A list of your monthly outgoings

Other assets

• Vehicles, and valuable items such as jewellery or art
• Life insurance and other policies
• Details of any trusts, inheritances or expected gifts

Print this checklist

Do I have to disclose everything?

Yes. Both of you have a legal duty to give full and honest disclosure of your finances, including assets held abroad, in a business or in someone else's name. Hiding assets can lead to an order being set aside, and costs consequences.

What if I cannot get a document?

Tell us. We can help you request documents from banks, pension providers and others, and the court can order disclosure if needed.

Is this checklist the same as Form E?

It is a practical guide to the documents Form E usually requires. If your case goes through the court, we will complete Form E with you.
